On Tuesday, 23rd September, Nifty opened at 25,209, with a high of 25,261.90, and closed at 25,169.50. BSE Sensex opened at 82,147.37, with a high of 82,370.38, and closed at 82,102.10.

Reasons for the decline:

There are several reasons for the market decline:

  • Sensex and Nifty were down mainly due to the rising concerns over H-1B visa fees and rising pressure from FII outflows.
  • Major losers among sectors were Information Technology, Pharma, and Healthcare.
