Cooling geopolitical tensions and upbeat Q2 earnings outlook lifted IT, pharma, and metals, helping Sensex and Nifty end the day on a positive note.

The Indian market closed positively today. Nifty closed at 25,181.80, up by 0.54%. It opened at 25,074.30 and made a high of 25,199.25. Sensex closed up by 0.49% at 82,172.10. It opened at 81,900, and made a high of 82,247.73.
Reasons for the positive sentiment
The market was positive due to several reasons:
- The optimism was led by the Q2 earnings expectations and stable demand.
- Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East cooled down, which will likely reduce risk and support energy stocks and overall market sentiment.
